From MyFox Tampa Bay: Bad wheel, but good landing on Davis Islands

close call began around 8 a.m. Monday. Matt Cowan, the new owner of the Cessna 310, was taking lessons from Kendall. They left Peter O. Knight Airport Monday morning and had flown to Zephyrhills Airport before a landing gear problem announced itself with a loud ‘pop’ on the way back.
